The history of the band Altera Pars
Altera Pars was formed by Andrzej Radecki-Mikulicz (keyboard,
voc.) in 1996. Before that moment Andrzej Radecki-Mikulicz was employed
as a professional keyboard player in Poland and Scandinavia to play
rock, classic or pop music. After twenty years of playing covers he
decided to play his own music with his own band.
In this case he got in touch witn Maciej Jurczyk (guitar) and Wlodzimierz
Smolarczuk to form the band. After several months Zbigniew Wilczynski
(vocal) joined the band. This vocalist has a very strong bariton voice
which is very convinient with Altera Pars's style of music. After some problems with several bassists Wieslaw Radecki-Mikulicz joined Altera Pars with bass guitar. From this moment the rythm section of Altera Pars got more power of sound.
Altera Pars played a lot of concerts in clubs of Gdansk area,
several times the group took a part of some festivals in Poland. After
each concert Altera Pars get more fans. In july of 2002 Altera Pars
was support group before the concert of the band "Ich Troje" (The best
pop group in Poland now). In spite of big differences in styles of
music between Altera Pras and "Ich Troje", Altera Pars got big ovations from young people.
Altera Pars has made two records till now. First record "The Wall" was recorded at the studio and the second one "Live On The Stage" during concert in Olesno. These records were recorded and issued privatly by members of Altera Pars which are not in position to promote the group enough due to financial problems. Unfortunately Altera Pars has not been uncovered by big music record companies.
